MEGA.AI | April 2026 Newsletter

Welcome to the MEGA.AI Monthly Newsletter for April 2026

We are delighted to present the April 2026 edition of the MEGA.AI Newsletter, highlighting continued progress across our partnerships, workshops, events, and product innovation.

Our ‘Danish and Coffee’ LinkedIn Live sessions on a Friday morning at 11am (GMT) have really taken off and over the last 2 weeks we have had guests. Our thanks to Chris Warburton and Alasdair Skeoch for joining in these unrehearsed 30-minute events. The recording links are below. The live audience continues to grow week-on-week.

We continue to run workshops with prospective clients and partners, as well as supporting events across the UK and Europe. Highlights were the Affordability Summit in Manchester, Innovation South in London and the CIVEA Conference in London. May is already looking busy. Martin was looking to squeeze in the Lincoln Viking Festival in early May in Kevin’s home city ahead of a busy schedule that bank holiday week, including workshops and the Vulnerability Registration Service (VRS) Conference on 7 May in Nottingham.

MEGA: I am not probabilistic

We’ve been feeling a bit nostalgic these past few days, revisiting some of our old videos -  but that chapter is now closed.

We’re proud to introduce our brand-new website video. In just 1.5 minutes, it shows exactly why MEGA isn’t like the others. Please click below

MEGA AI - "I am not probabilistic"

Focus on the UK Enforcement Sector

MEGA.AI was represented at Innovation South (16/4) and the CIVEA Conference (23/4) in London. We caught up with TelSolutions and Welfare Together at both events. We are also speaking at the Innovation North event in Leeds on 4 June 2026. The UK government has published its response around the fair treatment of council tax payers, alongside the Enforcement Conduct Board (ECB) planning to become the regulator for enforcement firms and agents.

2-3

My thanks to TelSolutions and Welfare Together for allowing us to speak on the topic of reaching vulnerable customers and the role of AI. We looked at several AI use cases around consumer survey campaigns and vulnerability support involving Mega and VRS. We then developed these, looking at payment solutions, including the new partnership with Acquired.com.

We focused on:

  • Business readiness
  • Data quality
  • Picking the right use cases
  • Human in the Loop
  • Integrations - smooth consumer journeys
  • Key partners in the ecosystem
  • Operationalising compliance & regulatory transformation
  • Continuous improvement - measuring outcomes

A key lesson learned from VRS research is around recognising consumer communication preferences. Tracey Stone reinforced this when discussing their service if complex or vulnerable cases can be pro-actively identified. Identifying support needs is vital to deliver better outcomes for all involved.

If you are interested in our presentation from Innovation South, then just drop Sammi or Sonam an email. We have workshops with larger enforcement firms through May 2026.

Affordability Summit – April 14, 2026

3-3

Samantha in full networking mode at the Affordability Summit, where MEGA.AI was a Gold sponsor. 85 attendees at the Core Technology Facility in Manchester run by advisory board members Chris Warburton and Kevin.

Affordability, Ability to Pay and Income Optimisation are key use cases for us. AI and automation are transforming affordability assessments, but require strong governance, transparency, and safeguards. During his 10-minute ‘stand up’, Gareth from IE Hub referenced the collaboration with MEGA.AI. The ‘Confidence Score’ sounds exciting.

Tell Us Once Twenty report

5-3

We are delighted that Kevin is a co-author of this new report, driven by Chris Fitch from Money Advice Trust. We are hoping to have Chris on LinkedIn Live in June 2026.

This report reviews and maps existing 'Tell Us Once' (TUO) initiatives in the UK that enable individuals to share support and vulnerability information across multiple sectors to improve coordinated services. This needs to be a consumer centric approach which MEGA.AI fully supports.

The primary aim is to ensure that firms responsibly act on the shared information from platforms like VRS and SupportHub.

We welcome the report ahead of the Vulnerability Registration Service (VRS) Conference on 7 May 2026 in Nottingham where the FCA and ICO are keynoting. This is a cross-sector event. Martin is attending. Chris and Kevin are facilitating sessions during the day.

With the recent FCA updates on firm expectations and priorities ahead of the next round of Consumer Duty Board reports, this should definitely be a topic on the agenda for 2026/27 and where your firm is on the data sharing journey, perhaps as part of the AI adoption strategy for different customer cohorts. Inclusive design and co-design is a 'hot topic' around product assurance under PRIN 2A.

Two notable collaborations have emerged following AI: Real Life in March, highlighting growing momentum in the vulnerability and customer care space.

DebtStream has partnered with the Vulnerability Registration Service to strengthen support for vulnerable customers, while Debtrak has also announced a partnership with VRS focused on enhancing customer care through better identification and management of vulnerability.

These developments reflect a wider industry shift towards more proactive and technology-driven approaches to supporting vulnerable individuals, with collaboration playing a central role.
